It all began in January of 2017 when Pedro, bachelor in economics and with more than 20 years of experience in management, wished to start an independent business. But not any business, it would have to cause some impact on society and environment.

Rita, Pedro’s daughter, has an atopic tendency and develops allergies and eczemas very easily. Over time, Pedro noticed that Rita’s skin was less irritated when she wore organic cotton clothes.

When he investigated the reasons for that reaction, he gained conscience of the dangerous chemicals that are used in the textile industry and their terrible impact on environment and health. He also gained conscience of the cruel work conditions that exist in the textile business, especially in Asian countries. He was shocked. When the time came for him to choose an area of business to start one of his own, a brand of organic children clothes was an obvious choice.

With a passion for a simple but cared design, he looked for a designer with a similar taste as his. He met Inês and was enchanted with the patterns she created. They established a partnership and from that moment on the hardest part was to select the patterns that wouldn’t figure in this collection.

Another keystone of the brand is to have reasonable prices because Pedro knows that raising a child is expensive. So, a straightforward and efficient business structure was set up, based on clearly defined and smooth processes.
