Jumping Jeans, are ethically made jeans, really soft denim jeans, available in three delicious colours. These ethical jeans have red stitching as a contrast and lots of pockets for storing foraged treasures. There’s button elastic for waist adjustment and slightly longer legs so that they will last through a growth spurt (we know what its like when our kids jeans seem to suddenly flap around their ankles!) These jeans have been created from handspun, handwoven and hand-dyed fabric and designed to be gorgeous, comfortable and practical. They are ethically made using processes that are kind to the environment and, of course, traceable so you can find out how they were made and who was involved.

Hi, I’m Jo Salter, Founder of Where Does It Come From?
I was concerned that the clothes I was buying for myself and my family were not being created ethically, and that I may indirectly be helping to sustain cruel labour practices and contributing to the world’s pollution problems. The Where Does It Come From? strategy has three main goals:
Firstly we work with Social Enterprises to produce our clothing, ensuring that all the workers have pay and working conditions according to fair trade principles. We provide work for cotton farmers, spinners and weavers in co-operatives set up to empower rural women, and small artisan printers, dyers and tailors.
Secondly we focus on protecting our environment. We use low water and carbon processes, non-toxic dyes and organic cotton as we want to have as low a negative impact as possible. We encourage our customers to keep their items longer and pass them on when finished with them. We run a ‘preloved’ shop to support this.
Thirdly, we share the whole story of our garment creation. We hope that these stories will educate and interest – especially the children – and inspire people to shop differently. We believe that having better relationships with our clothes makes us happier too!
