After a career in the NHS for over 20 years as a Clinical Neuropsychologist, Emma took the leap to become a freelance illustrator. From a young child she had spent much of her time sketching or making things from natural materials. Her passion never left her and she increasingly used drawing as a way to unwind from the pressures of a full time senior role. After her children were born, she developed her ideas for the book series and started to create greetings cards. Two years after leaving working she had won a Launchpad competition at Manchester Stationery show, exhibited at the International Spring Fair, established a number of regular stockists and was runner up in Gift of the Year 2018. Licensing deals followed and she has never looked back.
