Created from soft, handwoven white denim and block printed by hand with birds or animals, this top is for older girls who want something funky and stylish to wear with their leggings or jeans. The top is versatile as it can be worn as a sun-top in the summer or with a long sleeved top underneath in the cooler weather. As with all our clothes, this top has been ethically made using processes that are kind to the environment. It is, of course, traceable so you can find out all about where it came from and who was involved in making it.
Unfortunately not all prints are available in all sizes, sorry.

Hi, I’m Jo Salter, Founder of Where Does It Come From?
I was concerned that the clothes I was buying for myself and my family were not being created ethically, and that I may indirectly be helping to sustain cruel labour practices and contributing to the world’s pollution problems. The Where Does It Come From? strategy has three main goals:
Firstly we work with Social Enterprises to produce our clothing, ensuring that all the workers have pay and working conditions according to fair trade principles. We provide work for cotton farmers, spinners and weavers in co-operatives set up to empower rural women, and small artisan printers, dyers and tailors.
Secondly we focus on protecting our environment. We use low water and carbon processes, non-toxic dyes and organic cotton as we want to have as low a negative impact as possible. We encourage our customers to keep their items longer and pass them on when finished with them. We run a ‘preloved’ shop to support this.
Thirdly, we share the whole story of our garment creation. We hope that these stories will educate and interest – especially the children – and inspire people to shop differently. We believe that having better relationships with our clothes makes us happier too!
